Michael and Lisa Jackson decided to leave the city and buy a farm in the countryside. After some time looking for the right piece of land they finally bought 50 acres of rural farm land, near Yandoit Town in Central Victoria, to which they called “Yandoit Farm”.
They bought everything that was in the land including all the cattle and become cattle farmers.
They also inherited the results of the intensive mining activities that occurred in the land for decades and which heavily modified the landscape (in 1896 the land was known to lodge 600 gold miners).
They want to go beyond the conservationist perspective of native revegetation and found in permaculture design a way to accelerate the regeneration of their land.

Yandoit Farm is Michael and Lisa's project. They bought this degraded piece of land with an history of mining practices and overgrazing and have been committed to regenerate and make a living from the land.
